2025 School Placements Released:
The Ministry of Education is pleased to announce the release of the 2025 school placements for students who sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
This year, 590,309 out of 603,328 candidates qualified for placement into Senior High Schools (SHSs), Senior High Technical Schools (SHTSs), and Technical and Vocational Institutions (TVIs).
The Ministry successfully placed 483,800 candidates (82%) automatically into one of their chosen schools. However, 107,509 candidates are required to utilize the self-placement portal. Deputy Education Minister Dr. Clement Apaak attributed this to the exceptionally high competition for admission into first-choice schools, which exceeded available vacancies.
Affected students are encouraged to access the newly activated self-placement system to select a school from available options.
